Stephanie J Woods

Stephanie J. Woods is a multimedia artist from Charlotte, NC, currently based in Albuquerque, NM, where she is an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Art at UNM. She participated in Kehinde Wiley’s Black Rock Senegal Artist in Residence program and and the Boston Art Review.Interdisciplinary Craft + Photography Artist Residency at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and Houston Center for Photography.

Additionally, her work has been exhibited at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, Smack Mellon and Tiger Strikes Asteroid. Her work is featured in the permanent collection at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art and she has been featured in BOMB Magazine, Art Papers and Burnaway,

Stephanie is deeply committed to examining complex themes that highlight the reality of the Black American experience.
